The Architecture of Sense is a project which takes one set of information and translates it into all the five human senses.

How? By reducing the senses to the fundamental principles, the isometric translation describes the mathematical process of moving a data set and transposing it to another frequency. Each step is backwards compatible and can revert to the original form without losing information.

The Music of Architecture turns a building into sound.

The Architecture of Music turns sound into a drawing.

The Colour of Music turns drawing into painting.

The Scent of Colour turns painting into scent.

The Taste of Scent turns perfume into a food menu.

The Touch of Taste turns food into our bodies.

The Space of Touch turns bodies into instruments.

Examining the cartography and chronology of architecture by classification through juxtaposition of images. Each building, monumental, sacred or vernacular, is paired with a compliment on the other side of the world from the same time period.

My practice as a photographer is to compose in the camera and print on fibre paper. There is no cropping, burning or dodging, so only perfect negatives are printed, the decisive moment. Each slide is a digital image of the photographic print or negative, the imperfections are preserved.

Two photos are juxtaposed organised by date, country and site

architectural types are monumental, sacred and vernacular

The Touch of Sound turns bodies into instruments of healing.

The Space of Touch investigates how sound waves interact with our body. How the physics of singing and the application of overtone singing can physically change cells by putting the body in tune. This is the junction of music and health.
